More
The new Walden Pond Bathhouse replaces the original 1947 facility with a modern, universally accessible building designed to serve one of Massachusetts’ most visited and historically significant public destinations.
The single-story, approximately 2,700-square-foot facility includes men’s and women’s restrooms and changing areas, family restrooms, staff facilities and a first-aid station. Its architecture and natural materials were carefully selected to complement the surrounding landscape and the existing Walden Pond Visitor Center.
The project demanded detailed planning, close field coordination and careful schedule management within an environmentally sensitive and highly visible public site.
“Quality craftmanship built to last”
“Lehmann Construction Inc. was proud to contribute to the Walden Pond Bath House in Concord, MA, located within the historic Walden Pond State Reservation, famously associated with Henry David Thoreau and his work Walden. Our team completed custom finish carpentry throughout the project, including interior wood board installations, exterior wood siding, doors, cabinetry, and architectural wood louvers that complement the site’s natural surroundings and timeless character”.
